Membership Requirements
Membership to the Illinois Juvenile Officers Association is open to anyone employed by or retired from an agency dealing with prevention, control, and correction of juvenile problems.
Benefits of Membership
As an advocate of children’s rights and services, the Illinois Juvenile Officers Association is recognized as a proactive leader in Illinois.
The IJOA demonstrates leadership by maintaining and enhancing quality collaborative training opportunities and forums for sharing expertise to guide and support the professional development of its broad-based membership and the Illinois Juvenile Justice System.
The IJOA also serves as an expert consultant for state and community lawmakers to assist in the development of uniform standards, practices, and procedures in juvenile care and promotes the need for adequate resources for all services within the Illinois Juvenile Justice System.
Members of the IJOA come together from all areas across our great state and work together towards the prevention of child abuse, neglect, and delinquency.
